New Years Resolution: Positivity

Happy New Year everyone! 2016 has been a great year; it hasn't been the best year that I've experienced, but it has been the year in which I felt like I developed as a person. Despite all the tough and stressful times I struggled with throughout the last year, such as the GCSE exams as well as my dad immigrating and moving schools, I've had friends, those who I've known my whole life and those whom I've newly met, who supported me through them.

Not only that, but they helped me cope through the changes in my life and the successes I've achieved so far - as a student, writer, blogger and artist. Without these special people in my life, I wouldn't be who I am today.

Throughout this year, I've carried around with me a dark and negative aura, always being in the dark and seeing the bad side of things. So, for this year I decided that my New Years Resolution is to become more positive and to always look up, towards the bright side. To help me with this, I'll be keeping a positivity journal - a 365 journal with 365 pages for each day, in which I'll summarise my day only highlighting the positive bits.

I'll also be doing more reading to open my mind and more writing to improve my writing skills and to cathartically clear my mind. I also want to expand my experiences, and to do this I'll reach out and attain every opportunity I see and go out and meet new people.

2016 was the year of my growth but 2017 will be the year I bloom.

Me, now.
